Join hundreds of Unitarian Universalists and 100,000 progressive North Carolinians for the annual HKonJ Moral March and Peoples Assembly on Saturday, February 9, 2019.
UUs who want to march together are invited to gather near the corner of West South Street and South Salisbury Street between 8:00 and 9:30 am.
The pre-march rally begins at the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts at 9:00 am and the march steps off at 10:00 am and ends with the HKonJ Peoples Assembly at the old State Capitol building from 11:00 to 12:30 or 1:00 pm.
After this year’s HKonJ Moral March and Peoples Assembly, UU Forward Together will be hosting its second annual UU HKonJ Gathering at Christ the King Presbyterian Church (117 South West St. in Raleigh) from 12:30 to 2:30 pm where UUs (and UU friends and guests including representatives from Unitarian Universalists for Social Justice and Washington, DC area UUs with the Reeb Voting Rights Project of All Souls Unitarian Church in Washington) will meet, greet, eat, worship, sing, and network with each other together and talk about how we’ll take HKonJ back to our congregations and communities and work to “give life the shape of justice” through witness, advocacy, and action during the coming year.
Please register before Feb. 6 if you’re planning on coming to the UU HKonJ Gathering. (Note: You don’t need to register if you’re coming to the HKonJ March and Peoples Assembly but won’t be staying for the UU HKonJ Gathering afterwards.)
