Whether you are new to grassroots advocacy or have been engaged in this critical work for some time, the NC Council of Churches’ Legislative Seminar offers the opportunity to hear updates on issues being discussed at the General Assembly, network with others who share your concerns, and learn how you can make a difference. This seminar is unique in North Carolina in bringing together progressive people of faith to learn ways they can impact legislation in our state.
Check-in begins at 9am with opening worship at 9:30. Following worship will be two sets of workshops. Our keynote, Tom Ross, President Emeritus of the Unversity of North Carolina, will speak during lunch and also lead an afternoon workshop on efforts to end gerrymandering. Closing remarks will be delivered at 2:30 p.m.
Cost: $25 (includes lunch).
