HKonJ UU Gathering 2018

Clouds and rain couldn’t prevent UUs from Wilmington, New Bern, Greenville, Raleigh, Chapel Hill, Durham, Hillsborough, Greensboro, Winston-Salem, and Charlotte (and elsewhere) from joining tens of thousands of North Carolinians for the 12th annual HKonJ Moral March in Raleigh.

After the march and rally, about 65 UUs met at the nearby Church of the Good Shepherd for our first annual Forward Together HKonJ UU Gathering, featuring a delicious lunch from Neomonde, singing and worship led by Rev. Jacqueline Brett, Rev. Mykal Slack, and the Eno River UU Fellowship’s Beloved Community Chorus (led by LeLaina Romero), a video keynote message from John Pavlovitz, and a presentation about the UU Justice Ministry of North Carolina.

Thanks to Alyson, Sally, Bill, Jacqueline, Mykal, LeLaina, everyone who volunteered, and everyone who came together to make this gathering a huge success!!!
